Ankel Hassel gives PERG guest lecture on Germany´s export dependency and the future of the Eurozone

  The European sovereign debt crisis has exposed deep structural disparities in the economically and politically fragile Eurozone. While states on its periphery -but also a number of core states- are struggling, Europe’s leading economy, Germany, has been thriving. Low wages, limp domestic demand and a large current account surplus are widely regarded as major ingredients of Germany’s success. At the same time, these ingredients are seen as a stumbling block to the recovery of other European economies.

Martin Kahanec (DPP) organizes a high-profile workshop on labor policy in Brussels

Martin Kahanec (DPP) co-organized a joint workshop of the IZA Journal of Labor Policy and the IZA Journal of European Labor Studies entitled Labor Market Reforms during the Great Recession: Challenges and Opportunities on October 10-11, 2013, in Brussels.  

The opening keynote address was provided by Commissioner Laszlo Andor. Keynote lectures were given by Giuseppe Bertola (EDHEC Business School) and Coen Teulings (University of Amsterdam and Cambridge University).

CEU Business School and Chongqing Technology and Business University Sign MOU

On July 3 CEU Business School and Chongqing Technology and Business University (CTBU) signed a memorandum of understanding. The MOU offers a framework for further cooperation for undertaking a range of possible collaborative projects, including executive education programs, student and faculty exchanges, executive MBA and full-time MBA programs and generally helping build world-class management education in southwestern China.
