AEGEE Conference at CEU

CEU hosted a conference “Y Vote 2009 Conference on Education” organized by AEGEE ("Association des Etats Generaux des Etudiants de l’Europe", European Students’ Forum) from April 6-11, 2009. The event was part of a European-wide campaign designed to create a platform for youth activists to take stands on the most important social issues in Europe.

International Women of Courage Award 2009

The award ceremony took place in the CEU Auditorium, on March 31, 2009. The welcome address was delivered by President and Rector Yehuda Elkana. The award was handed over by US Ambassador to Hungary April H. Foley (pictured left), who delivered a keynote address on social responsibility, equality and tolerance.
