The course covers a selection of key topics within the International Political Economy field of research. The aim of the course is to present the theoretical concepts, major topics and current issues of IPE. Students will become familiar with methodological research problems and solutions and will be able to scientifically analyse problems related to the global economy and global institutions and critically review published research. The topics are approaches to IPE, multilateral and emerging institutions in global trade and finance, structural changes of the global system, and selected issues in human security such as migration, poverty and civil war.
