US Ambassador to Hungary talks foreign policy, European relations at CEU - highlights

In a wide ranging lecture covering the war in Afghanistan and Hungary's EU presidency, US Ambassador Eleni Tsakopoulos Kounalakis said the US and Europe can work in concert to promote inclusion and prosperity around the globe. 

"We may not always agree with Europe on every issue," she said, "but I challenge you to find any closer allies or natural partners."

She applauded Hungary's leadership in taking steps to bring the Western Balkans into the European fold, and she noted how much she's appreciated meeting and talking to Hungarians during her tenure.
