Former US war crimes envoy David Scheffer explores international justice at CEU

Lawyer, author, and former U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for War Crimes Issues David Scheffer spoke about "The End of Impunity" at CEU on March 20. Scheffer, now the Mayer Brown/Robert A. Helman Professor of Law and director of the Center for International Human Rights at Northwestern University School of Law, was one of the key diplomats responsible for creating the International Crime Tribunals for the former Yugoslavia and Rwanda, the Special Court for Sierra Leone, the Extraordinary Chambers in Cambodia and, ultimately, the International Criminal Court.
